Architect and designer, Iceland born, Gulla Jónsdóttir owner of the globally prosperous design firm G + Gulla Jónsdóttir Design located in Los Angeles, New York and the Middle East. Gulla is the responsible of some of the world’s most creative and innovative modern architectural forms and interior spaces, from top restaurants and hotels to galleries and theaters.
Jónsdóttir’s latest project is located on a quiet street in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris at just steps from the Elysée Palace. The Grand Restaurant is the new home of the Michelin two-star chef Jean-François Piège.
The restaurant sits under an astounding deconstructed mix of backlit glass and mirror ceiling. The carpeting is the impeccable revival of the ceiling design. The guests can enjoy the magic of the chef and his team from a smoked glass in front of the black and white marble open kitchen.
Le Grand Restaurant is definitely a place that you can’t miss if you are visiting Paris.
